5 Ways to Monetize your Skills

Finding means to monetize your skills is one of the most effective strategies to increase your income stream.

However, the area of expertise you are passionate about will stay as a hobby unless you know how to generate income out of it. That’s why it is really important to identify your skills and what you are really good at. 

In this blog post, we will show you how to monetize your skills so you can start doing things that you love while earning passively.

Remember that as you read through this list that people will start paying attention to your product if and only if you are solving their pain points/problems.

So, it is relatively important that your marketing should include something that will spark their interest and as well as highlight the solution you can offer to your potential client's problem/s. 

1. Do tutorial videos on youtube

YouTube, like online courses, has a market for many sorts of material. On YouTube, people may make money by sharing skilled tutorials/ expert tips such as interior decorating, humor, journaling, gardening, earning passive income, and many more (you name it). There are two ways how you can earn passive income through youtube. And this is through ad incomes (paid collaborations) and affiliate marketing. 

2. Consulting/Coaching

If you have a marketable ability that people are eager to learn then it is one heck of a way to earn through coaching and consulting.  From birthing parenting coaching to marketing coaching, there are a plethora of various sorts of consultants. You'll probably have to look for a client to work with at first. But as your business expands and through an effective marketing and networking strategy, you are more likely to gain long-term clients over time. This will make it easy for people to comprehend what your blog is about and for you to build a readership. One of the most straightforward ways of monetizing your skill is through freelancing. Many individuals are eager to just pay for your expertise and services. Sign up for a freelancing site such as Fiverr, Upwork  or Freelancevets (if you are a veteran or a military spouse) to get started. These sites let you advertise your services and make it simple for potential clients to locate you.

5. Start a Podcast

 If you are someone who just leaves speaking and creating worthwhile conversations, then hosting your own podcast is for you. In order for you to get started, make sure that you have clearly identified your specialization and create a visually appealing website to serve as your home base. You may also use social media to advertise your podcast naturally or through sponsored search strategies, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other sites. 

 
At first, it can be tough to think of ways to monetize your skills, but it’s worth it in the end. By taking the time to explore different options, you may find that there are multiple ways for you to start generating an income from what you love.
